Today would officially be the last day of my internship at Vorm Vijf. However, I made a deal with my internship companion yesterday that I would look into the cms that powers their website (they want to it spit out an HTML equivalent to the Flash site; something I’m all for) over the weekend, so I figured I’d stick around untill at least Monday. My internship manager didn’t show up for work today (he’s got that flue now), but before I could tell the rest of the staff about our little deal, the ceo proposed that I’d stay for at least another week. I said I was about to propose just that myself, and that I would love to.

I spent most of the day doing research and making preperations for the cms–hacking I’ll be on. I see a lot of potential in the existing?php and sql powered?cms, and I think I’ll be able to leave a nice automated (and standards compliant!) HTML version of vormvijf.nl as a legacy. Meanwhile, I talked to a uk design student who wants to meet up with me and Petr when he pays a visit to this city, and I updated my internship page. At the end of the day, I helped out the ceo with some pictures he wanted to be made of the MG he’s about to sell.

After work, I headed into town (which has become a Thursday evening ritual). This time to pick up a new game for my Xbox: NBA Street v3 (what happend to the ol. ?) at Gameshop. I didn’t see its box in the stands, but my eye fell on another box: Street Fighter ?: The Anniversary Edition. Ah, the nostalgia; this one was coming with me, if only it was for the have. I went to the counter and asked the clerke whether they had the game I was looking for initially. They did, so that one was coming home, too.

On my way home, my path crossed with three ladies. I cought eyes with the one that was the furthest away, and happend to be one of the most beautiful women I’ve seen in some time. I couldn’t get my eyes off of her, and that appeared to be mutual. I started smiling, which triggered her to smile too. Hers was bigger and better. We passed eachother, slowly turning heads. She had noticed my pink/brown shoes, and she complimented me on them. I quickly asked myself what the most noticeable nice thing I could scan on her was. Ass? Brain, you’re not being a gentleman. I decided to go with thank you … and that was it.

Damn! (Sure, I could have mentioned the smile, but try thinking of something like that when you’re trying to ignore your brain.)
