Of a good start…

2005’s been good to me so far. Very good.

I decided to spend New Year’s eve at home with my mom. After midnight, though, I went outside to taste the atmosphere and say hi to some people. This triggered me to get into the party-mood. I called up a friend, and he invited me to a party at another friend’s house. Provided with directions, I headed to the party. Upon entering the final street, I could hear women screaming my name from a window. Wow; no reason to be insecure about being wanted there. ?

I spent the rest of the night with Casper; Herline; Suzan; Maarten; and Sanne, and had a great time. There was dancing; drinking; talking with strange people; talking with weird people; and talking with strange weird people.

When I got home early in the morning, I didn't feel like going straight to bed, so I decided to play some gta Vice Cityand I beat the game! That is to say, I only completed 50% of the game—I just happend to complete the ending mission (Keep your Friends Close …).

Obviously, I got up pretty late the next day, and not exactly feeling very energetic. Upon invitation of Enrique, though, I decided to go out and play some basketball anyway. Oddly enough, it went very well. Scratch that—it was going fucking incredible: on the first day of the new year we did the sickest shit we’ve ever done!

The climax came when the ball had carried over the 15? fences, and had landed several yards from the court, and behind the basket. I went to get it, picked it up, and threw it over the fences with a left-handed sky-hook. That’s when a spark of magic was sent down by the basketball-gods. The ball flew over the fences; bounced of the soccer goal post; over the backboard; on the rim (twice) and in. Sickest shot in basketball. Ever.

The next day (Sunday), we played a lot of basketball again, and again, we we did at least a month’s worth of sick moves. Compared to my hook-shot the day before it was all pretty tame, but compared to any other, it was absolutely insane.

Monday was my first day at the office, and that’s where I spent the rest of the week. Okay, not exactly straight, but the week went by so quick it almost feels that way. Time flies … etc. The things I’ve said about Vorm Vijf before have only become more true every day so far.
