I was invited to Jurriaan's (late) (26th) birthday party today. I wasn't really in the mood for partying,
but I did want to go … badly. I was really looking forward to see him and some of my other friends again—it had been a while.
First, I went to Centraal to play my daily dosis of basketball. I played with Enrique, Brian, and some guy that I don't think I'd met before. We played pretty good (except for Brian, who was in one of his funny
moods), and I had a lot of fun. At the end, a gorgeous Indian girl came to pick up her car that was parked at the side of the court, and we flirted a little. My day was set, and I was ready for party … sort of.
I went home, washed up a little, and headed to Jurriaan's. When I arrived, there weren't as many people as I expected, which is probably a good thing (these days). It was great to see those that were there: Suzan, who I hadn't seen in ages, with her new girlfriend and a great new haircut; Tim and his pregnant girlfriend; some gall' that Jurriaan and Suzan had got to know during their stage in Finland; some familiar KABK face; and, of course, Jurriaan and his girlfriend (and my female friend) Dan-Vi.
I didn't stick around too long (actually, most people thought I was sticking around too short), but I had a great time. It was good to see my friends, and see them doing well. I expect to see them more often on short notice, also.
