Yesterday was my worst basketball day so far.
It started at Bakkersplein, where there were dozens of guys playing soccer. Some of them kept saying they would play their last game and then go play basketball with me. When I finally thought it had taken too long, I decided to seek elsewhere.
I was glad to see that a lot of people were playing basketball at Tram 2 Court. A lot of players I know, also. I joined in pretty quickly, and was looking forward to play some nice 'ball. Somehow, just nothing would seem to work; my shots weren't dropping, my dribbles were getting stolen, and even my trademark passes didn't always work out. The only thing I did manage to pull off were a panna
and a head-pop,
but that doesn't buy you anything (it was against one of the quickest guys there is, though).
After this fiasco, some of my friends and I went to Centraal to—you guessed it—play some more 'ball. Didn't play quite as bad as earlier that day, but still way... way below my standards, let alone my capacity.
Today (after some sleep), I have a basketball tournament at Vermeerpark. I sure do hope I won't play as disastrous as I did today.
