Not so sucky

So this week was starting of with a lot of suck it actually got better after a good night of sleep. (Ok, maybe not night, but sleep nonetheless.) I got up early in the afternoon, and wasn't feeling half bad. I had dinner, and went to Bakkersplein to play some basketball. When I got there, Enrique (who was already there) suggested that we would go to Tram 2 Court in hope to meet some competition.

When we arrived at the court, nobody was there. We didn't feel like moving to another court yet again, so we decided to shoot some hoops. We were messing around big time... I don't think we made one single serious shot.

Since we were pretty much wasting out time, and Enrique had a date with some girl, we decided to go home early. Just when we had packed our bags and were about to leave, some guys came up and asked whether we wanted to play... just one game. We decided to accept the offer.

These guys (who I don't think have ever played against) were enormous. They were tall, strong, fast, and they had skills. The nice thing about them, though, was that they didn't have that fucked attitude that we've seen so much lately.

They were a lot better than the people we've been playing against so far this year, yet we weren't intimidated by them in the slightest. Their level of gameplay oddly enough triggered us to step up on our own. I've played the best street basketball I've played in... years?

After the first game, we wanted a second, and a third. We lost all three of them, but by small margins, and I didn't feel half bad about it — after all, these guys play on a same team professionally. All four of us had our moments. We all dissed and we all got dissed... and none of us acted weird upon it. My shots were dropping at a much higher percentage than they usually do, and Enrique was able to slam that dunk.

After the three games, we hung around some more, mainly showing off our individual skills. That's 3 guys dunking it as hard as possible and then some, and me doing layups that did a lot of jaw dropping.

When we finally did go home, we were very energetic, and feeling good about our game. We wanted to play more, but it was really getting late.

Today the weather sucked, but we did shoot some hoops anyway (joined by Mikey). I sure do hope the weather gets better again soon.

In other news: my bio-rhythm is fucked up again I've been deviating a lot at night.
