Happy 21st, Dan-Vi

My friend Dan-Vi Pham, who is in new York right now, turned 21 today. She already promised me she'll do a little dance for me when she's going out tonight. I'd do it myself, but I'm not in New York, obviously.

I played basketball for several hours today. I had quite a lot of energy. I even played some soccer — something I haven't done for about a decade. From around 9 o'clock, Michael and I were the only two left on the court. We played one on one from then on. At a certain point — while I was in posession of the ball — I noticed that an (good looking) Indian girl was checking me out from within a car that was parked across the street. She started the engine, but wasn't going anywhere. At a certain point she got out of the car, took a little walk — kept checking me out — got back in, started the engine again, but still didn't go anywhere. Then it happend... Mikey faked me out... Dissed by a 12-year old while a good looking girl is checking me out. Argh! A few minutes later, she drove off, I tried to get my focus back to basketball, and continued the game. Then, a few minutes later, she drove by via the other side of the court, throwing a quick look at me. Hm, the last time it was this obvious was about two months ago. Puts a smile on my face.

The past few days I was feeling pretty much like complete shit, but I did manage to do some good stuff in on the webdesign front. I've been working on yet another version of this very website, and it's even more liquid and flexible than the version that is online now. I pushed the font size setting down to 10% in Opera 7 and Mozilla 1.7a (and Smallest in IE), and up to 700% (Largest is IE), and did the most extreme window resizing possible... and did not manage to break the layout. I still cannot believe it is working like it is, but it just will not break, and it didn't even require any additions to the markup. Now I really want to impliment this new style to the entire website, but I won't untill I have set up something that will automate the process locally (there are too many pages on this site to do it manually, but I don't have root access to the server that hosts it).

Is it now official: Utterly Random will move to Fragile-Minds.com. There are some big plans for the site, and my online comic is going to be a part of it. Because I don't have a new episode of it yet, I have some more utterly random links:
