Around ten; not according to plan

Yesterday night, I was walking home after having played street basketball for hours. I was looking at a girl that was approaching on my left, when I suddenly noticed a guy on a moped in front of me. I somehow felt something was weird, so I stayed alert while I kept walking in his direction.

All of a sudden, the guy drives up to the pavement, and speeds up towards me. As he manoeuvres right past me, his steering wheel actually touches my hand. I stop, and turn around. The guy slows down, turns his head, and looks me in the eyes with an extremely aggressive and hyped expression: it looked as though he was on coke. I kept my pokerface, and just as I started to walk up to him, he got around the corner of a building, and drove off.

The girl that had been approaching came up to me, and was clearly a bit shocked. She said the guy was mental and that he had almost run me over. I smiled, told her I noticed, and continued my walk home.

After this rather unusual and somewhat entertaining intermezzo, I took a shower (which was kind of cold, since the thing that is supposed to heat up the water broke down, apparently), got dressed, and headed into town. There I ran into a group of people, of which I knew each individual, but of which I had no idea (some of them) knew eachother. Not exactly the first time I ran into this kind of situation, but still a bit strange.

When I arrived, the final rounds of the surounding bars had already passed, so I was sans alcoholic beverage. When the group went to go dancing shortly after, one friend of mine and I decided to go to a bar next to the place where they were going, in order to chill a bit, and get our respective drinks in, still.

When that bar closed too, we went to the entrance of the club nextdoor, in order to re-join with the rest of the group. When after a few minutes they wouldnt show up, and some doormen and police officers where getting on our nerves (they were challenging our right to be on a specific spot in a public area), we decided to call one girl from the group.

Apparently, they were already home. Surprising, but then not really. My friend and I werent quite done yet, though, so we went elsewhere to score some food. The hot chicken was good, and we had a great time. It was a place of which I had been wondering whether they ever close, but eventually they started hinting it was about time.

I joined my friend on her way home, and then went to a gas station to buy some candy which I enjoyed eating while chatting with some people on irc once I had returned at my own place. I think I went to bed around 10, which isnt exactly according to plan. I had fun, though.
