Congratulations to:
Steven Garrity, Daniel Burka, and other people of silverorange for doing such a excellent job on the latest Mozilla.org re-design. That's a job I wouldn't mind see myself doing one day.
Mozilla.org—for their nice new design, of couse, but also—for being the number one browser according to Google, and also the number one … number one. [Via Anne]
Six Apart for launching Movable Type 3.1. The three biggest improvements are dynamic content, subgategories, and post scheduling; which are three points I had the biggest problems with in previous versions. (Updating my current install hasn't been a very smooth one though; I get the following error response when running mk-upgrade31.cgi
:
Upgrading your databases:
An error occurred while upgrading the schema:
Can't locate object method "load" via package "MT::Template" at mt-upgrade31.cgi line 263.
Ideas?)
My friend—who I recently alerted about the likely possibility that he has a attention disorder (because I recognized a lot from myself in him—for taking immidiate action and being able to use his manager to get immidiate treatment. I hope it works out for him (and myself).
My new neighbors for driving my mom and I absolutely crazy by playing the most annoying music at really high volume with all windows wide open … at 8 'o-clock! Good job guys; you managed to play it so hard you didn't even hear us banging on the walls. (If they do this again tomorrow, I'm not going to be nice about it … at all.)
Postbank and IBG for coming up with yet another way to waste my time.
I got a receipt in the mail with which I could go get my new OV student card. I carefully planned the act of picking it up, and tried to have everything perfect on my side, in order to slim the chances of something going wrong (which it usually does): I had some new passport photos made (the last few times I just printed a photo, but—like I said before—I wanted everything to be perfect on my side), I brought the payment receipt that I received at an earlier stage in this bureaucratic process… I even brough my friggin' ID card.
I proudly handed all my stuff to the nice lady at the counter, and waited. … Minutes later the manager comes and tells me I have to pick it up elsewhere (though I've been picking it up there at least anually for seven years now), but that they are now closed. Sigh.
Last, but not least, congratulations to me for:
…hitting a cross-court left-handed sky-hook (and being able to keep a cool, like the Fonz). (This happend yesterday, but I neglected to mention it here.)
…taking immidiate action upon an email from the police that told me to report the IMEI number at the local police station rather than by email. (Though now I'm wondering whether they actually did something with it other than putting it on my copy of the report and putting a nice stamp on it. Whatever.)
…picking up a set of halters at Kijkshop for my mom (and myself), and bringing it home by foot. (Actually, that was just a plain fucking stupid idea.)
…finally posting a weblog entry again.

Why the hell did you take those halters home by foot? C'mon! That's really a fucking stupid idea!

Hmm, I'm not sure what the MT problem you're having is, but it looks like maybe all your files didn't upload correctly. You should retry the upload and feel free to submit a help support ticket if you keep having problems with your install.

I had the same problems when upgrading. Check out this thread:

The solution given by "Tweezerman" worked for me

Upgrading your databases: Creating Dynamic Site Bootstrapper. Creating Dynamic Pages Error Template. Done upgrading your schema! All went well.
…and all was bliss.
Thanks a bunch, Anil, James, and David!
