Missing: black leather map

Damnit. I'm so pissed. My little black leather map in which I store all my passes (my bank passes, my OV Jaarkaart … everything) is gone. I can't find it anywhere. I think it might have been ripped from my bag during basketball the day before yesterday … or something.

Yesterday, I went to the same court as where I played the day before: to look if perhaps it was laying somewhere in the grass; to inform people there about what I'm missing; but also to blow off steam. Obviously, I couldn't find the map there either, nor had anyone seen it. I did, however, play some nice 'ball. There were alot of (familiar) people, and we played full-court 5-on-5 while it was still light and hot. When the sun called in quits, so did most of the people, but some of us stayed untill dark and then some.

A guy that I know from high school joined, and the rest left, leaving the two of us, but we didn't really bother with eachoter for some reason. Then Erik from ST4R came to say hi. He couldn't play because of an injury, so we just chatted about the things we do. As is often the case with this sort of chit-chat, the conclussion is that we might become business associates (he could use my knowledge and resources for the ST4R Website, for one).

Around midnight, some other players arrived (Cliffy, Murat, and a friend of his … I suppose), and we played some 2-on2 (where I played a lot better). When we were chilling after the game, one of the guys gave me a huge compliment. He said he has played against a lot of players, and some very good players (andknowing himI know this is true), but that nobody can fuck him up (as in fake him out) as bad (as in good) as I can. Heh, it's an honor, really.

He was also nice enough to drop me off at home with his car. Home; where I got hell. I got into a big argument with my mom to the point where I decided to take a time-out and head into town. I wandered around some, checked some of the hot-spots to see if I could spot any familiar faces (which I didn't), and returned home. Home; where I got hell again. Great, I could really us that (not).

In other news: my Mortal Kombat site isn't just downit's badly messed up, and there's nothing I can do about it right now. Then there's some more crap that's been bothering me today, but I don't even want to talk about it: I seriously need to lose these bad vibes.

I got a compliment, I got a ride home, I got a potential client, and I played some nice 'ball. There. Always look on the bright side … right?

That bites about losing the map. Anything that needs to be canceled? Hopefully you can get those cards replaced soon!

You are about the 3rd person today I've heard say they had a fight with their mother. Wonder what it is about today. I hope things have cooled off by now.

Hey, Libby.

Yeah, there's a lot that has to be canceled, and re-ordered. My mom had my primary bank pass blocked immidiately tonight. The last time I lost my pass, 600 euros were taking from my account, so we've learned from that. Tomorrow, I'm going to report this at the police station and have more of the important stuff blocked. Man, this sucks.

About my mom; well, it'll cool off I'm sure, but I also think it's time to spread my wings.

How is the pass situation going today? Get everything canceled?

600 Euros? yikes. I have had money taken like that before.. certainly isn't a fun situation. I've had to have my cards canceled twice. Was the card canceled this time in time to prevent anything from being taken?

Things OK with your mom?

(hehe, lots of questions)

Like I said before, my mom got my bank pass blocked as soon as I found I was missing it. Whether or not this was on time remains to be seen (I haven't been able to check my account yet). The other things are more a matter of re-ordering than blocking, and I'll get to that later (less important).

Yep, 600 euros was taken—a bit more, actually. It left a bad taste on something that was for the rest an awesome vacation.

Things have settled down with my mom as expected, but what I said in my previous comment still stands.

The comment about spreading your wings. I can definitely sympathize with that.. that feeling has been lingering all summer for me. The closer I get to my birthday - the more that grows. Things just seem rather restless. I haven't told anyone that either - I just seem to be going into recluse mode.

rambling

I should be sleeping.

Did you post much about Istanbul? I'm going to have to go back and read some of those archived posts. I like hearing about adventures to places I've never traveled to.
