Stormy But Warm

It did turn out to be windy again today, but not as strong as yesterday. Thus, I decided to play some 'ball with Enrique at my homecourt.

After some time, some guys came and challenged us for a game of two-on-two. It was the most annoying game I have ever played. They were constantly dancing, crossing, pulling down pants, and giving head-pops, but they couldn't play worth shit. I don't have anything again And1/Freestyle (I have a repectable set of dekes myself), but the point of a cross is that you get passed your oponent, the point of a special move is to have the oponent looking for the ball, andmost importantlythe objective of the game of basketball is to put the ball into the basketball. Sure, they pulled down my pants, and sure they gave Enrique a head-pop, but they didn't have either of us looking for the ball once, they didn't cross us out once, and they put the ball into the basket only two times. For some reason, their friends were cheering and shouting as if they were a championship team. They did not cheer when Enrique crossed them up, I had one of them looking for the ball with my infamous hypnotizer, their players missed lay-ups (the fuck?), Enrique and I kept making baskets, and when I blocked a shot so hard it's not even funny. Fucking posers. The thing that annoyed me the most is that their stupid and rough bullshit left me with two injuries in the mere minutes that they were there: first, they hurt my left pinky finger that I sprained rather badly during a game on Monday, and then one of these idiots somehow managed to head-butt me, leaving a big blue bump beneath my right eye. I hate this kind of players.

After this bullshit, Enrique went to attend a training with a professional team (yeah, that's the kind of players we are, bitch) in Rotterdam, and I decided to head into town. I didn't really have a goal in mind, so I just wondered around. I went to pretty much every record store and store that sells basketball shoes, and I went to V&D, where the only noticable entity was my ex' sister Ratna (who I thought I'd seen working there before, but this time I was sure). I'd walk up to her to make some chit-chat, but she was talking to some colleagues.

After this utter waste of time, I went to grab some food, and headed to Riebeek to play some more 'ball. There wasn't anyone to play with, and the wind wasn't exactly helping either, but I didn't mind?I was just praticing some dribbbles and both my left-handed as my right-handed jump shot.

After this practice (it was actually just more waste of time), I headed home (walking, again). When I went through Central Station, I saw Ratna again, this time sitting in a train. She seemed tired and not really aware. I tried to make eyecontact and waved. She looked up dozy, but when she recognized me, she seemed happily surprised; her eyes opened wide, she smiled, and waved back. Somehow I felt she wanted to talk to me. I'll look her up at her workplace when I'm in town again some time.

When I arrived at my homecourt, Enrique and Mikey were there, so I stuck around again. My shots were dropping considerably better than earlier that day, and I actually felt a bot more energetic, yet I didn't feel like playing a game (nor did the others).

When I got home, I watched a piece of the Bollywood film Hum Tum?in which I figured?from a DVD that I borrowed from Mikey. You can see me clearly! I'll make some screenshots and put them online later.

By the way, I didn't do any of the things I mentioned yesterday.
