Today—or yesterday, technically ((ab)using my new daily archives feature here)—the weather was hot; crazy hot. I felt good, but was pretty bored, so I decided to play some basketball at my home court.
It was way too hot to play any serious ball, yet I managed to stay there all day (close to 9 hours). It might very well be the slowest basketball I have ever played, but I enjoyed myself nonetheless. It wasn't untill late (right before I went home) that I played some semi-serious 'ball (2-on-2), and even though I should have been dead tired (I had been on my feet—in the heath, without eating—the whole day) I still felt good and still kicked ass. If there was any doubt, it should be gone now; my body is in very good health. Now if only I could get the mind in harmony with it...
In other news: I totally love Stopdesign's new design—it's really one of the best Web designs I've seen lately. Good job, Douglas!
In other, other news: I've got a Gmail account afterall. I'm a bit late to join the party, but what else is new? Thanks, James, for inviting me to your email elitists franchise! By the way, With 1000 megabytes of free storage, you never need to throw messages away.
Never? I guess the people at Google have somewhat different email behaviour than the people that email me.

Why the hell do people require 1 GiB of data for E-Mails, anyway? Are you going to use it to store movies on it, or something?
I don't know, I guess it just seems a bit too much, in my eyes.

You really think so? For me it'd be actually nowhere near enough, if I'd be transfering the traffic from all my email addresses to this account (which I won't) and never delete an email. I get powerpoint files, little movies, and other kind of documents that exceed one mega byte on a daily basis.
I wonder if they have a function for keeping emails, but getting rid of the attachments—that way storing all emails for the rest of my life could probably work.

Yeah, I'd imagine that a gig of space for a webmail account could come in handy in certain situations. At one of my previous jobs (graphic designer for a printing press), I had to e-mail large Photoshop and Quark files to and fro a lot. I had to use the company's website's email server, which was slooooooow. And I'm sure they didn't have a gig of space to spare. Gmail could've came in handy then, certainly.

Yeah, but why not just use a POP-box, then? That way you store the E-Mails locally, and can save up to as much as you like. In that sense, 1 GiB of storage is odd in my eyes.
Note it that I never use web-based E-mail accounts for E-mails. My Hotmail account is only for the MSN protocol, and for services which require a valid E-mail address (to which they, afterwards, send loads of spam — most of the time).
