Weblog entries posted on this day.
Thanks to Daring Fireball, line breaks (br
) and paragraphs (p
) in user comments are now automatically marked up (XHTML). Not only does this apply to new comments, it also respects the hard returns in all previous comments on the weblog (which just about everybody that has ever left a comment has used). A truly wonderfull feature is that line breaks and paragraphs that are marked up by the author (I think Anne and I are the only ones that've been doing that) of a comment, are also respected — which addresses the problem I had with Movable Type's Convert Line Breaks
feature which caused nested paragraphs (which is a big No-No).
Thanks, John Gruber.
Last night, I went to bed late again. I was woken by the highly annoying children of my highly annoying neighbours, and the loud music that was being played by my less-but-still-somewhat-annoying neighbours that live above them. I felt kind of weak, and since I was expecting to get a new computer screen today with which I would be toying around, I decided to stay home (meaning in bed). Late in the afternoon, though, my mother got home and announced that the fuck-ups at the store were being fuck-ups, and that there was no monitor. Not today anyway.
This day, elsewhere.
