Got Game?

December 22 2003

Got up late again today. It had been raining and snowing all day. I went outside to play some basketball when it had not been raining or snowing for a few hours. It wasn't too cold, and I was actually hitting a lot of shots — but there were some very annoying spots of ice on the ground, so I went home after a few minutes. I really felt like playing basketball though, so I decided to boot NBA Street Vol. 2 on my Xbox.

Since the game had become too easy on the medium difficulty setting lately, I decided to crank it up to the highest level. Too my surprise the game had become even easier. A lot easier. I broke a shitload of records untill I realized I had put it on the easiest setting instead of the heardest. Figures...

In the real world of basketball, thing are going fast. Very fast. Enrique has found a sponsor for the basketball team/organisation —that we started out of the blue the day before yesterday— already. Looks like there's a bit more pressure on the corporative identity I'm designing for this thing. I just heard we might be practicing on a indoor court tomorrow... Like I said; things are going fast.

It' really exciting.

The Shortest Day of The Year

Got up early in the evening today, and had dinner right away. Went outside to play some basketball, which went really well today. We started a new basketball team yesterday. Enrique, Raul, Brian, and I (for starters... the group will probably expand) are now calling ourselves O'sko1. It's a name that I derived from two terms of popular basketball styles old school and And1. I will soon make us a logo and a website (I've already started, actually). I finally did some design work for other people again —it has been a while— I made an online Curriculum Vitæ for my friend Natasja Gajadhar. She going to do something with Endemol and Disney, and they asked for an English CV.

In other news: Stopdesign is back to its liquid self again, Anne van Kesteren is considering making a new design, which Jeffrey Zeldman already did, and a Windows crash corrupted my Mozilla settings. I wonder what <META name="save" content="favorite" /> on the Windows Family Home Page does. Never mind.

By the way, the title is what it is because I heard that on the news earlier.
