I've been working on the Integration project pretty much all day today. First at the Royal Academy, and then at my place (with the whole project group). At the Academy, We discussed our idea with two teachers, and they were pretty positive about it. We also witnessed an Apple presentation about some of the latest Apple icons like the iBook G4, iPod, Panther, iTunes and Safari. It was a slick presentation with a lot of smooth demonstrations... just like one would expect from Apple (I'm trying not to sound sarcastic, I was actually quite impressed). After the Apple presentation and the discussion with the teachers we went to my place to work on the movie together. My mom had appeared to have stayed home sick, but by the time we got there she was feeling better, and she didn't mind I had guests with me at all. As a matter of fact, she was being quite host, bringen us tea and food, and providing some input for the our project.
We have a pretty clear direction in which we want to go with the project now, but now it's about actually creating the thing. Since I happen to have the proper resources (fast PC, required software, etc.), and the required knowledge, it seems I'll be doing a lot of work for it tonight. I'll be making the actual movie with Flash MX, Adobe PhotoShop, and... stress. The group also wants me to do the presentation of the thing tomorrow. I don't want to, but I most likely will, eventually. I always do the presentation of things, it's been like that since I've been involved in things... that require a presentation. I'm not complaining though, once the moment is there I usually actually enjoy presenting whatever it is. Yet another thing I inherited from my father's gene pool, I'd say... he makes a living doing presentations.
I also talked to my father today. He called me yesterday, but I was feeling like shit and couldn't stand any sound, so I decided to turn off my phone and stay in bed for the rest of the day. I called him back today, and we made rough plans about me going to visit him at his new place during the holiday around Christmas. He had some good financial news for me: his company (Jade Training & Advies) is going to take care of the monthly bills of my cellular phone from now on. This means I'll be moving providers (I'm moving from T-Mobile to Telfort), but I am keeping the same number (which I wouldn't want any other way). The number of minutes I'm allowed to call will increase, but I doubt I will ever need it.
A few hours ago, I played some street basketball with Enrique. It was windy, raining, and dark, but I was actually doing quite well. I kicked his ass in the first match, but lost the next two by a minimal difference. I felt really good about it, especially since I was playing like shit the last time. We played for nearly two hours, which should be enough to keep me happy untill Saturday (I won't have time to play tomorrow).
Tomorrow, early in the morning (9:00AM), the project group is comming to my place to work on the Integration project again. When we're done (or when time runs out), we're going to the Academy and present the thing. I know from experience that waiting untill you can actually get to your own presentation, and the looking around at other people's products and presentations takes up pretty much all day. I can't stay too long though, I will be attending my guitar ensemble at 19:00PM, and I want to be able to have dinner at home first (with my uncle Peter and my grandmother that will also be here). After my guitar ensemble I will be running back at the Academy because there's going to be a party to close the project week (and I cherish some nice memories about those).
I noticed I've been 'blogging quite a lot lately, and the page is getting rather heavy. Maybe I should break the pages more often than the current once a month. Or perhaps show the last few entries in their entire and then show only the headers or a caption of the rest of the month's entries. Blah, this really is not the time to be thinking about that. I should really be working he project now, and I will. I will get back to my weblog (and my site in general) this weekend.
By the way, it is pretty freaking weird to see what is going on in Instabul right now, not at all too far away from where I was not so long ago.
