My box is so freaking instable now, it's not even funny. It crashes at least ten times a night, corrupting data at random. Because I am pretty sure my Ati Radeon 9500 Pro graphics adapter plays an important role in this, I decided to search for some older graphics adapters that I could temporary jam into this box. Unfortunately I couldn't find my Graphics Blaster Exxtreme nor my Voodoo Dragon 2. I think they are in one of my older boxes that is laying around at a friend's place.
While I was searching my bedroom for a solution to my computer problems, I stumbled upon a little book that I used to carry around in my first year at the Royal Academy. I looked through the book a little and found a series of pages that were filled with poems that I wrote after I had broken up with Madhvi. They are all pretty short, and easy, but most of them are very dark and depressing. Some, however, are just bizarre, and actually quite funny, like the one below↓.
Teveel knopen in m'n zakdoek.
Teveel draadjes los.
Soms heb ik trek in kroepoek.
Soms loop ik in het bos.
Maybe I should have warned you beforehand, but anyway, the poem is in Dutch. I plan to digitize some of these poems and put them online some time (and yes, they're all in Dutch... I think).
By the way, writing this latest log took me several hours in which my computer and I experienced several crashes, I re-installed Windows XP Pro, changed various BIOS settings and changed them back, updated various drivers, and did so many system scans that I'm affraid the blue screen might be burned into my retina. Whoever said technology makes a job more efficient?
I was just checking Dan Cederholm's Random Web Search. After I added "AcjBizar" to the words database, I checked out some of the statistics of the site. Here's a screenshot of the table that shows the last 10 visits.
Pay specific attention to the first 5 of the last 10 visits the table shows. It made me chuckle.
This day, elsewhere.
