Here comes the bureaucracy.

I told the Postbank about the fraude that's been committed with my bank pass (read my post from the 26th). They told me they'd send me a fraude form that I should fill in and take to the police department to report the fraude. I got the form in the mail the day after, which is good, filled it in and took it to the police today. The officers said that can't take action if the fraude did not take place here in the Netherlands (which makes sense), and told me to take it up with the Ambassy of Turkey. I went back home, found their phonenumber, and contacted the Ambassy. I didn't have the impression that the guy I was talking to understood one word I said, and that impression got stronger when he put me on hold. After hearing the same 8 second classical music sample about 126 times I got to hear the voice of a women that spook fluid Dutch, which was quite a relief. I explained the whole situation for the 20-something-th time, and got put back on hold. Just when my mind was about to stop having a will of its own and I was becomming an unconditional slave to the 8 second music sample, the woman returned. She told me that I should take this up with the Consulate of Turkey in Rotterdam. She gave me a phonenumber... they didn't answer.
