Science: Astronomy

As a kid, I was fascinated by stars and planets. The only thing that changed in that aspect is that I now refer to it as astronomy.

Certificates

In my third year of high school (mavo), I attended a facultative course astronomy that was given by our physics teacher (Natuurkundeleraar). I scored a 9.3/10 for the final test and recieved a certificate.

Years later, I started the bachelor degree course Chemistry at the Hogeschool Rotterdam (hro). Provided the opportunity, and still fascinated by the subject, I followed another facultative course, which I also passed.

Projects

S☉lar System
An artistic, experimental, semi-scientific representation of the planets in our solar system. As of August 2006, Pluto is no longer officially a planet, but I love the little bugger too much to let it go (and it’s tiny anyway, considering I made the size of the astronomical symbols proportional to the respective diameters of the actual planets).
